Elan Qatar signs pact with Dubai developers
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Elan Qatar (formerly q.media) has signed an agreement with Ilyas & Mustafa Galadari Group, the developers of Dubai's IMG Worlds of Adventure, the world's largest temperature controlled indoor themed entertainment destination.
The agreement is to establish Elan-owned Novo Cinemas, the Middle East's largest chain of theatres, as the cinema operator in IMG Worlds of Adventure, expected to become one of the UAE's most visited attractions when complete.
The signing ceremony was attended by Elan group CEO Jaber al-Ansari and Ilyas & Mustafa Galadari Group's executive co-chairmen and owners Ilyas Galadari and Mustafa Galadari.
Novo Cinemas at IMG Worlds of Adventure boasts a cutting edge IMAX theatre and NOVO 7-STAR experience, which offers personalised service and exclusive amenities.
"This marks a new milestone in our strategic growth plans for Novo Cinemas across the Middle East," al-Ansari said.
The Novo Cinemas chain currently spans 115 screens and 22,000 seats in 14 locations across Qatar, the UAE and Jordan. Ongoing expansion will see these numbers grow to over 200 screens by early 2016.
Following on the success of The Pearl-Qatar, Novo Cinemas has since announced plans to launch new locations in Qatar's North Gate Mall, Bahrain's Seef Muharraq Mall and Dubai's Dragon Mart.
