UAE- Etihad Airways' statement about Flight EY650


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) Etihad Airways has issued the following statement concerning Flight EY650 inbound to Abu Dhabi from Cairo, which was diverted for security reasons.

The statement reads: "Passengers from Etihad Airways' diverted flight EY650 have disembarked from the aircraft at Al Minhad Air Base in Dubai. They will be security screened in the terminal before transferring by coach with their luggage to Abu Dhabi International Airport.

"Those with onward flight connections will be met at Abu Dhabi Airport and rebooked on the next available services.

"Flight EY650, an Airbus A321, was carrying 128 passengers and seven crew from Cairo to Abu Dhabi, when it was diverted for security reasons.

Etihad Airways will release further information as soon as it is available," the statement concluded.
