Kuwait- 'Mandoub' Working For Money Exchange Office Flees With KD 80,000


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Security operatives are on the lookout for an Egyptian mandoub working for a money exchange office for betrayal of trust, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Owner of the exchange office lodged a complaint with officers in Khaitan police station accusing the mandoub of absconding with KD 80,000 instead of depositing the sum in the bank account. He explained the mandoub collected KD 109,000 and returned only KD 29,000. He also said he was deceived by the suspect who claimed to be helping the poor, as he spoke frequently about his alleged charity deeds.

Arms trader arrested: In the framework of the plan developed by Ministry of Interior to eradicate trading in unlicensed firearms, detectives have arrested a 38-year old citizen for selling 9mm pistols. He was in possession of three firearms ready for sale, reports Al- Shahed daily. Intensive investigations conducted by securitymen revealed the man was involved in illicit activities. He was nailed in a buybust operation at the parking lot of a cooperative society in Ahmadi area while trying to sell a pistol to a police agent. The man admitted purchasing weapons at low price as the grace period for handing over weapons approaches fast. He intended to sell the firearms with a huge interest at the end of grace period.
