UAE's SEDCO purchases 50 percent stake in Turkey's Mektebim Okullari


(MENAFN) SEDCO Holding Group, a leading Shariah-compliant private wealth management organization, has purchased a 50 percent stake in Mektebim Okullari, a major, fast growing company operating in the private education sector in Turkey, Gulf Base reported.


Under the terms of this agreement, SEDCO Holding Group will possess 50 percent of the company's shares and play a major part in the company's ambitious growth strategy in the region.


Currently, The Turkish controls 17 schools from pre-school to high school levels, the schools have over 4,000 students, and Mektebim Okullari is seeking to add 8 more schools to its investment.


It's worth mentioning that Turkey's private education sector is one of the fastest-growing in the world, It is expected to grow from 4 percent of the overall education sector to about 20 percent in the near future.
