Orange Jordan announces its "Essentials 2020" strategy

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Orange Jordan announced its new strategic plan for the years 2015-2020 under the heading, "Essentials 2020".

The announcement was made during a press conference held on Thursday by Orange Jordan's CEO, Jean-Francois Thomas, and attended by key stakeholders, representatives of the local media as well as members of the operator's senior management.

Through its new strategic plan, Orange Jordan has set for itself a highly ambitious and demanding objective: to provide each and every one of its customers with an unparalleled experience. To realize this ambition, the operator will leverage on five main drivers: offering richer connectivity options; re-inventing customer relationship, building a people-oriented and digital employer business model; accompanying the transformation of enterprise customers; and diversifying its operations by effectively capitalizing on its assets. All of this will be achieved within a business model that is efficient, responsible and digitally proficient.

To support this endeavor, Orange Jordan will be investing more than JD 300 million between 2015 and 2018, including a JD 200 million investment in its fixed and mobile network infrastructure, setting the lofty target of delivering the best network experience in Jordan by year-end 2015. The operator is also working on modernizing all customer touch points to create a converged customer experience, introducing a new shop concept and establishing new channels to gauge the feedback of its customers.

"Today, the environment we live in has changed significantly," explained Orange Jordan's CEO, Jean-Francois Thomas. "Customers are changing their behavior, with more focus on data usage and less focus on traditional telecom services such as voice calls, SMS and international calling.

The result of this evolution is that customer expectations are changing. Customers today expect secure connectivity, differentiation according to their individual needs, and more value for their money. Orange Jordan's new strategic plan is built around the customer, with the core objective of meeting their expectations. The company's main mission is to connect its customers with all that is essential to them." "Essentials 2020" takes into account the continually changing dynamics of the ICT market, leveraging on Orange Jordan's longstanding expertise in the field in order to reinforce its position as the preferred partner in the digital lives of Jordanians. As the ICT market continues to evolve toward a more digital-focused landscape, Orange Jordan is also focusing on creating a more digital and caring business model, in line with its established identity as a people-centric brand.

This attention to customer experience is also being extended to Orange's enterprise customers, which span government organizations, the Jordanian Armed Forces, major corporations and SMEs. The operator is streamlining its lineup of enterprise services, offering its corporate customers a broader range of tailored solutions that include connectivity, cloud services, enterprise resource planning, and security.

Through its new strategy, Orange will also continue serving as a digital trendsetter by introducing new technologies and broadening the scope of Jordan's ICT market, all the while focusing on the development of its human resources through the use of long-term digital training programs. As its business model continues to grow, the operator will continue building on its achievements in the arena of research and development, delivering tailored, highly secure solutions to enterprise customers throughout the MENA region. Moreover, the operator will continue developing new service categories that span content, cloud and video services capable of accompanying the changes in consumption patterns within the ICT market.
