These results left Barca needing just three points from their last two games, against third-placed Atletico Madrid and lowly Deportivo Coruna.
Barca kept up the pressure on Madrid with an efficient 2-0 home defeat of mid-table Real Sociedad, on second half goals from Neymar and Pedro.
