Jakarta Futures Exchange To Issue Bonds In June

JAKARTA May 8 2015–The debate between Financial Service Authority and Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency on derivative product has calmed down paving the way for the issuance of Indonesia Government Bond Futures by Jakarta Futures Exchange

Previously there was a debate on derivative product after IDX wants to issue similar product.

Adler Haymans Manurung PIC of Director of Jakarta Futures Exchange said the supervisory agency and FSA have met Ministry of Finance as the mediator.

The decision is both futures exchange and capital market industry have the right to issue such product because the regulators have similar regulations allowing its issuance.

“So we will see who will be the first to issue such product” he told Indonesia Business Daily.

The futures exchange has submitted various requirements and documents to finalize Indonesia Government Bond Future

“Late May the supervisory agency will have approved it so we can launch it in June” he said. Read more..
