South Sumatra Expo Targets On IDR8.2 Billion Transaction

PALEMBANG May 8 2015— Provincial Government of South Sumatra is optimistic that South Sumatra Expo 2015 can generate up to IDR8.2 billion transaction amid the low public purchasing power recently.

The transaction target from the annual event is set to grow maximally 15% compared to last year revenue which was IDR7.2 Billion.

Head of Industry and Trade Agency of South Sumatra Permana said it expected that the event can be a trigger for cross island or cross province trade.

“It's an opportunity for the producer in South Sumatra and also outside South to meet. It’s expected there will be information exchange and transaction” he said Friday (5/8/2015).

South Sumatra Expo 2015 is an effort for the provincial government to develop the trade and industry of South Sumatra.

According to him there will be a lot of small medium enterprise players involved in the exhibition which will hold in May 15-20 2015 at Benteng Kuto Besak.

He said that there had been 115 registered participants from various institutions such as SKPD and SME.

However he admitted that the number of participant was less than last year which reached 150 participants. Read more..
