Atlanta GA - A Rapper’s Words a comic by Hip Hop artist Quanstar will be available in digital format June 15 2015. Released bi-annually each issue will be a self contained story illustrated around the lyrics of some of Quanstar’s most socially provocative songs.
The first issue named A Ghost In A Shell features the black and white art of Rafa Lee (Center Land and Fluttering Dreams). The story takes an in depth look on man’s dependence on technology and how it has nurtured the worst in us e.g. narcissism violence desensitization and fame mongering.
A Rapper’s Words will be initially available on Bandcamp and Quanstar’s website a month before hitting the digital shelves of Amazon Google Play and other online retailers. During the 30 day period purchases will get a free copy of Quanstar’s eleventh studio album Play Games three months before it’s scheduled release.
Quanstar is the ultimate “indie” hip hop artist. His DIY attitude insatiable need to create and “control freak” tendencies have allowed him to flourish and accomplish more than many of his contemporaries signed to “major” labels with bigger budgets. In over ten years as a professional Hip Hop artist Quanstar has released 11 studio albums been the subject of a documentary wrote a book directed and produced numerous short films and is currently on his first feature film.
