Saudi King receives US Secretary of State


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud met US Secretary of State John Kerry and his accompanying delegation here on Thursday.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, several issues of mutual interest, and the current regional and international developments, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The meeting was attended by Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and several other officials.

On the US side, the audience was attended by Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Anne Patterson, Chief of General Staff Vice Admiral Kurt W. Tidd and Deputy Chief of US Mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Timothy A. Lenderking.

The US Secretary of State arrived here earlier on Wednesday for an official visit to Saudi Arabia.

During his stay here, Kerry has held talks with Saudi Crown Prince Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubair and Yemeni President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
