Saudi Deputy Crown Prince, UN official discuss Yemen


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Saudi Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz held talks Thursday with UN Special Envoy for Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh on Yemeni situation.

The two sides discussed the resumption of the political process in Yemen in light of GCC efforts, output of the Yemeni National Dialogue Conference and UN Security Council Resolution 2216 , according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The Saudi Deputy Crown Prince affirmed Saudi's support to achieve the return of stability and legitimacy in Yemen, as well as the coalition forces to intensify their efforts to deliver humanitarian relief to the Yemeni people, it added.

He also congratulated Cheikh on his new appointment as UN special envoy to Yemen.
