(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) The number of Palestinians detained in Israeli jails from the beginning of 2015 till April end has reached 1,545, according to the Director of the Department of Statistics at the Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-detainees, Abdul Nasser Farwaneh.
Farwaneh said that number of arrests rose by 9.6 percent during this period, compared to last year during the same time span, adding that there were 258 children and 77 women among those arrested.
He urged the international community to shoulder its responsibilities to put an end to these arrests that target all segments of the Palestinian society.
