Malaysian academic delegation visits Yarmouk University


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Yarmouk University President Abdullah Al-Musa on Wednesday met with a delegation from "Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM)", headed by the Dean of the Islamic Business School (IBS), College of Business at UUM, Asmadi Mohammad Naim.

The two sides discussed mutual academic cooperation.

Al-Musa briefed the delegation about the history of the Yarmouk University and its future aspirations, and the cultural and scientific relations it has with universities in countries around the world.

He praised relations with Malaysian universities, stressing Yarmouk University's readiness to cooperate with the UUM for exchange of faculty members visits as well as sending master's and doctoral degree students.

Naim stressed the importance of scientific cooperation with the Yarmouk University, especially in management and business, particularly because its Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences has a distinguished level, and also generally because of the high scientific level at the university.

The delegation also held a meeting with Jordanian students, where they were briefed on admission and scholarships terms at the UUM and disciplines and degrees awarded by the university.
