Jordan, Sweden discuss legal and judicial cooperation


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Minister of Justice Bassam Talhouni on Thursday discussed with Swedish Minister for Justice and Migration, Morgan Johansson, aspects of bilateral cooperation in the legal and judicial fields.

During the meeting, the two officials also focused on ways of realizing projects of mutual interest for the two countries.

Talhouni stressed the importance of exchanging views on a number of international and regional issues related to legal cooperation and human rights, mainly offering humanitarian aid to Syrian refugees in neighboring countries.

The Swedish minister confirmed that his visit aimed to discuss a number of issues of common interest, especially at a time when Jordan is facing severe challenges due to hosting a large number of Syrian refugees.

Johansson appreciated the Kingdom's role in providing Syrian refugees with necessary services despite its limited resources,especially education which he witnessed during his visit to the Azraq refugee camp.
