(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) Tunisian Foreign Minister Taieb Baccouche on Wednesday underlined the importance of strengthening cooperation between his country and Turkey, especially in the military and security fields.
He called during a meeting in Tunis with Turkish Ambassador Omer Gucuk for raising to the "highest level" Tunisia's economic partnership with Turkey.
Baccouche referred during the meeting to what he described as "historical" relations between Turkey and Tunisia, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry.
According to the statement, the meeting tackled regional issues as well as consular cooperation.
