Pakistan desires boosting ties with Bahrain - PM


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Pakistan's Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said that his country wants to enhance cooperation with Bahrain in all areas of mutual interest, particularly trade, energy and defense.

In a meeting with Commander of National Guard of Bahrain Lieutenant General Sheikh Mohammad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa in federal capital Islamabad, the premier said "Peaceful and cooperative relations with neighboring countries" is part of his vision. He further said that Pakistan is committed to following a policy of non-interference and non-involvement in the internal affairs of other countries.

On the issue of Yemen, Sharif said "Pakistan condemns the overthrow of legitimate government of President Hadi by Houthis." He called for finding a peaceful resolution of the crisis through dialogue.
