Asian expat arrested for using fake credit cards


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Criminal Investigation Department recently arrested an Asian expatriate for fraudulent transactions at several shops using fake credit cards.

The investigation officials were tipped off by some sources about the suspect's involvement in fraud and received reliable information that the person was staying in a city hotel.

The officials co-ordinated with the Public Prosecution and arrested him from his accommodation. During the raid, the CID officials found with the accused 15 forged credit cards, three ladies handbags and payment slips.

During the interrogation, the accused admitted to misusing of forged cards. He was subsequently transferred to the department concerned for further legal formalities.
