Amman Chamber of Commerce issues 12,772 certificates of origin


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) The Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) issued in the first four moths of 2015 some 12,772 certificates of origin where the United Arab Emirates (UAE) had the lion's share, compared to 14,970 during the same period in 2014.

According to ACC statistical figures issued Wednesday, the ACC issued 2,529 certificates of origin for exporting goods and merchandise to the UAE, 2,165 certificates to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and 1,092 to Iraq.

According to the figures, goods and merchandise worth JD402 million were exported, during the past four months of this year, compared to JD542 million for the same period in 2014.

The figures revealed that Iraq accounted for the majority of the Chamber's exports, during the period of comparison, by JD147 million, followed by the UAE by JD82 million, and Saudi Arabia by JD29 million.

The ACC's exports during the past four months were divided into re-exporting foreign products worth JD243 million, agricultural products worth JD64 million, and industrial products worth JD55 million.
