Kuwait congratulates Prince Saud Al-Faisal, his successor


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah has expressed sincere congratulations to the former veteran Saudi counterpart, Prince Saud Al-Faisal, on his recent appointment to other posts, and extended identical sentiments to his successor Adel Bin Al-Ahmad Al-Jubair, expressing good wishes to both.

Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, in a message addressed to Prince Saud Al-Faisal, expressing congratulations for his appointment by King Salman Bin Abdulaziz as the Saudi Kingdom's Minister of State, Cabinet member, the Advisor and Special Envoy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Supervisor of Foreign Affairs, expressing readiness to benefit from Prince Saud Al-Faisal's experience as the Kingdom's veteran top diplomat.

The minister noted Prince Saud Al-Faisal's rich experience in the diplomatic sector, expressed readiness to continue to work with him and make use of his experience and expressed good wishes for him in service of the new posts.

In his separate message to the new foreign minister of the Kingdom, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled expressed readiness to coordinate with him on "all matters intended to bolster further the Kuwaiti-Saudi relations at various levels." He also invited Al-Jubair to visit Kuwait "at any time you may choose, so that we would work together to strengthen the bilateral ties in line with perspective of the two sagacious leaderships and the two brotherly peoples' aspirations." The Saudi King Salman has recently conducted a major reshuffle in the top echelon of the ruling hierarchy, relieving Prince Saud Al-Faisal upon the latter's request, citing health reasons. (end)
