Crude oil rallies on supply concerns

Crude oil futures rallied today as protests at a Libyan oil port fed concerns over supplies.

June crude jumped 2.8% to US$60.57 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Tracking the most-active contracts prices haven’t settled at a level that high since mid-December.

Meanwhile Brent crude for June delivery on London’s ICE Futures exchange surged 2.3% to US$67.96 a barrel.
