Hyundai Motor to recall 2,580 Accent units in US

(MENAFN) South Korea's top automaker Hyundai Motor Co. will recall 2,580 units of its 2015 Accent vehicles in the US for an error in the model's occupant detection system, Yonhap News reported.

In very cold temperatures, the occupant detection system (ODS) may not be able to determine if a child restraint seat is in the front passenger seat, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.

The recall will begin on June 5 to correct the software system of Accent vehicles manufactured from September 15, 2014 to February 10 of this year, the administration said.
