Egypt's USD1.5b Wind Project up for USD400m fund


(MENAFN) Egypt's Wind energy Project, which has an estimated cost of USD1.5 billion, is considering further finance in order to be fully implemented on ground, Amwal Alghad reported.

Presently, the project under public-private association is mulling over a financing deal of USD400 million due from The African Development Bank Group (AfDB), according to a representative from the bank.

For AfDB , the scheme will be helpful in that it will represent part of the bank's goal to fund infrastructure and energy projects in Egypt.
