His Highness Premier holds talks with Romanian counterpart


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah held on Monday at Seif Palace talks with Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta, who is here on a two-day official visit in response to an invitation by His Highness the Premier.

The two sides discussed the ways of boosting horizons of cooperation in different fields that serve interests of the two countries and meet aspirations of their peoples.

They also considered stances of their countries towards regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The talks reflected the depth and solidness of relations between the two governments.

The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Cabinet Affair Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Minister of Finance Anas Al-Saleh, Minister of Health Dr. Ali Al-Obaidi, Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Yaqoub Al-Sanea, the Head of the Mission of Honor Sheikha Dr. Rasha Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Khaled Suleiman Al-Jarallah, Undersecretary of the Premier's Diwan Sheikha Itemad Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as well as a number of senior officials at the Prime Minister Diwan and Foreign Ministry, and ambassadors of the two countries and the delegation accompanying the Romanian Prime Minister.

Following the talks, several memorandums of understanding of cooperation (MoU) were inked between the two sides in the presence of His Highness Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak and his Romanian counterpart.

A MoU on health was signed by Kuwaiti Minister of Health Dr. Ali Al-Obaidi and his Romanian counterpart Nicolae Banicioiu.

Al-Jarallah and Romanian Minister of Education inked a memo on entry visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and special passports, and a memo on sharing activities of Kuwait's Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute and Romanian Diplomatic Institute.

Al-Jarallah and the Romanian Minister of Economy, Trade and Tourism signed an agreement to set up a joint cooperation commission between the two countries.

His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak held a luncheon banquet in honor of Romanian Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation.
