Kuwait- Interior Receives GCC 'Wanted' List

(MENAFN- Arab Times) Kuwait's Ministry of Interior has received from its counterparts in other GCC countries, lists with names of wanted criminals and members of terrorist and extremist groups, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting informed sources.

They revealed that Kuwait's security authorities have also prepared a list containing the names of 45 Kuwaitis, 80 Saudis, 14 Qataris, 17 Bahrainis, and 22 UAE nationals, who are still at large and are involved in supporting terrorist organizations and participating in combat operations with these organizations.

According to investigations carried out by security authorities in the Gulf countries, an undercover network helps suspects leave their countries on forged passports and sends them to locations where they are prepared before they are sent to conflict-ridden regions where organizations and terrorist groups such as DAESH, Al-Nusra, and Ansarallah are active.

The sources affirmed that the GCC security authorities are coordinating with their Turkish counterpart in this regard in order to uncover the new names of those involved in terrorism.

They added that some figures and preachers in the Gulf region are involved in brainwashing and recruiting young people into terrorist groups, and seducing others with money to travel to the troubled regions for fighting with the groups.
