Germany's manufacturing industries slowdown in April

(MENAFN) Germany's manufacturing sector growth has slacken in April, but still shows some healthy sign and is forecast to render good results in the upcoming period, Reuters reported.

The manufacturing sector accounts for almost 50 percent of Germany's economy. Markit's purchasing manager's index (PMI) for manufacturing went down to 52.1 from 52.8 in March.

"Germany's manufacturing sector shifted down a gear in April," an economist from Markit said in a statement.
