(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Members of a special GCC technical committee and financial institutions agreed during a meeting in Riyadh Sunday to provide funding for sectors of electricity, water and heath.
The committee members, assigned to determine needs of Yemen in development sector, discussed with representatives of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development how to provide essential assistance for the major sectors in Yemen, the GCC Secretariat said.
They agreed to meet on May 26 to follow up on outcome of today's meeting.
The meeting was in compliance with a resolution by the GCC summit in 2011, which called for supporting the development and economy in Yemen. (end)
