(MENAFN- Gulf Times) French President Francois Hollande arrives in Doha today on an official one-day visit to Qatar.
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani will hold talks with President Hollande on bilateral relations and regional and international issues of joint interest. After that, Qatar and France will sign an agreement on the purchase of French Rafale fighter aircraft.
In an interview published in a local Arabic newspaper yesterday, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius described his country's relations with Qatar as "deep-rooted and distinguished, covering political, defence, economic and cultural fields".
