Mysore to get Rs 15 cr printers cluster project at Koorgalli


(MENAFN- KNN India) A Rs 15 crore project of Mysore printers cluster will be developed at Koorgalli Industrial Area with the financial assistance of Union Ministry of MSME and Industries and Commerce Department of Karnataka.

The project includes Rs 10 crore industrial area project housing, 30 printing units and one common facility centre, said Mysore District MSMEs Association.

This project is already submitted to central government for detail project report approval with the consent of state government.

Ministry of Sciences and Technology and Technology Information, Forecasting & Assessment Council (TIFAC) has selected eight clusters in India including Mysore Printers cluster of Karnataka for Technology Gap Analysis and hand holding facilities for Upgradation of technology.

Meanwhile an awareness program on technology gap analysis and hand holding facilities for upgradation of printing enterprises like pre-print press, post print press, digital print, flex print, offset and multicolour offset and other print related activities will be held on May 6, 2015 at Hotel Kings Court in Mysore.

The programme is jointly organised by Ministry of Sciences and Technology, Government of Karnataka Industries and Commerce, Karnataka Council for Technical Upgradation, MS Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC), Karnataka State Printers Association, Bangalore, District Industries Centre Mysuru, Mysore District Micro Small & Medium Enterprises Association and Mysore Printers Cluster.
