Qatar hosts dialogue on Afghan national reconciliation


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Qatar hosts Saturday a dialogue which brings together representatives of Taliban movement and active Afghan figures over two days to make reconciliation among Afghan people.

Being keen on maintaining security and stability in Afghanistan, Qatar seeks through this dialogue to bridge the gap in views among all Afghan parties on issues and topics that achieve security and stability for Afghan people, Director of the Asian Department at the Foreign Ministry Yousif Al Sada said in a statement carried by Qatar News Agency (QNA).

The dialogue includes open discussions on the Afghan reconciliation among all parties in the country, he added.

Qatar inaugurated in 2013 a bureau for Taliban movement in Doha out of its keenness on contributing to enhancing efforts of world peace and providing opportunities to settle disputes through peaceful ways, dialogue and negotiations. (end) nnd.hm
