72 companies win low cost Haj contracts
(MENAFN- Arab News) The Ministry of Haj has selected 72 companies to serve the domestic pilgrims availing the low cost Haj quota.
A total of 50000 pilgrims will benefit from the government's low-cost Haj service this year and the charges will range between SR3000 and SR5000.
Director of the domestic pilgrims directorate Fayez Al-Burkani said that out of the 130 companies who had expressed interest in projects.
The ministry called the officials of the companies and two lotteries were conducted between two establishments. The one with the highest specialty was chosen the second lottery was conducted among three and the best was chosen.
Al-Burkani confirmed that text messages were sent to the companies that participated in the program and the allocation was announced including evaluation in the general domestic pilgrim's directorate.
Selection for the low cost Haj program will be done directly through the e-gate of the ministry.
The officials of the companies confirmed that the ministry has been transparent in its procedures and implemented the special list carefully. The allocation program was done early to equip the camps early and define the needs.
