(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The General Authority of Customs (GAC) held a workshop on "leadership and administrative development" in co-operation with the World Customs Organisation.
GAC officials took part in the workshop and were trained in various practical and theoretical skills so as to carry out leadership responsibilities effectively, with a special focus on global trends in the field.
Customs Training Institute director Mohamed Jabr al-Nuaimi said the workshop reflected the keenness of GAC to develop skills and capabilities of its employees.
He said the workshop highlighted the modern concepts of management and how administrators should take into consideration social, political and economic changes - global or local - while undertaking their tasks.
