Company Adds New Dimension To Wine Club Industry

Summary: Wine Club World based in Santa Barbara is now partnering with Stagecoach Company Wine Tours to allow their customers to tour some of their member vineyards.

April 26 2015 Santa Barbara CA-Wine Club World a boutique wine of the month club that has focused on ultra-premium wines coming from small batch wineries in California recently partnered up with longstanding Stagecoach Company to sponsor a special tour of some of the past and present featured wineries. Based on the overwhelmingly positive reaction from the guests plans are underway to offer this service on a regular basis.

“Obviously so much of what we do is bring the wine to our customers” said Jennifer Finnell one of four owners of the popular new wine club that is preparing to celebrate its first anniversary. “It was when one of our customers reached out to us looking for a special way to celebrate their birthday that we wondered about bringing our customers to the wine.”

Instead of trying to start a separate entity from the ground up Finnell and her partners – Ken Sorenson Nathan Willingham and Stewart Fries – reached out to one of the most successful businesses in the Santa Barbara area over the last 15 years: Stagecoach Company Wine Tours.

Voted the number one attraction overall in the Santa Ynez Valley by readers of Trip Advisor and having earned their Certificate of Excellence each of the last four years Stagecoach Company Wine Tours offers a variety of options when it comes to exploring the Santa Ynez wineries. With special programs designed for both small and large groups as well as private events and educational programs they were a natural fit for the members of the wine of the month club.

“Their tours are focused not just on the same areas that we drew some of our first member vineyards from” Finnell said “but actually include some of the wineries our customers have enjoyed. This gave our guests the chance to tour the facility and meet the people responsible for making the wine. It’s a personal touch that can’t be created any other way.”

Finnell said that her and her partners are looking into ways they can build on the success of this initial venture and they certainly envision a time where Wine Club World tours might become part of some of the membership packages.
