(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors) Insurance giant () has named Mike Wells as its new chief executive.
Wells who runs the insurer’s US arm Jackson National Life will replace the highly-regarded Tidjane Thiam who is jumping ship to .
"We have found a fitting and experienced successor to Tidjane in Mike Wells who has extensive experience of life insurance and asset management” said Paul Manduca ’s chairman.
Wells who has three-decades of experience in the US insurance industry will relocate to London to take up the position from June.
Thiam Pru’s chief executive since 2009 said he was moving to head back in March to replace the bank’s current boss Brady Dougan.
At the time said its board had identified a successor - widely rumoured to be Wells - from a range of internal and external candidates.
