Ethiopian Jewish Protesters, Israeli Police Clashes

(MENAFN- QNA) Around 1,000 protesters, most of them from Israeli Ethiopian Jewish community, demonstrated in the Occupied Jerusalem on Thursday against police violence.

The demonstration continued into the evening, with violent clashes between protesters and police.

According to Haaretz, the demonstration in front of the national Israel Police headquarters was prompted by a video of an incident on Sunday in the Tel Aviv suburb of Holon in which a policeman is seen pushing an Israeli soldier of Ethiopian descent to the ground after he didn't initially move at the policeman's request.
