Scores arrested Prostitutes nabbed


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY April 28: The quadripartite committee comprising members from the ministries of Social Affairs and Labor Interior Commerce and Industry and the Kuwait Municipality during a surprise inspection campaigns against labor law violators are said to have arrested scores of people from schools in Hawalli reports Al-Rai daily. Those arrested have been referred to the authorities to prepare their deportation from the country. The source added action will be taken against the sponsors.

Prostitutes nabbed: Personnel from the Immigration Investigation Department have arrested 7 Chinese women for indulging in immoral activities and 3 Egyptian men who had gone to seek flesh pleasure reports Al-Rai daily. Security sources said police acting on a tip-off got a warrant issued by the Public Prosecution and raided an apartment in Hawalli and arrested the 10 persons seven Chinese women and three Egyptian men and referred them to the authorities. According to security sources the Chinese arrived in the country on visit visas to practice prostitution. The women have allegedly visited other Gulf states for the same purpose.

Work permits forged: Personnel from the Residence Affairs Department of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor have arrested some Asians for forging work permits in return of money reports Al-Anba daily. Investigations conducted by securitymen led to the arrest an Indian mandoub who admitted to his act and guided police to his partners. Police then arrested the accomplices and seized from them seals and forged documents.

Cable thieves sought: Police are looking for unidentified persons for stealing electric cables from a project site of the Hawally Security Directorate reports Al-Shahed daily. The daily added the manager of the site in his complaint to the Bayan Police Station said the thieves used a hydraulic saw to cut the cables. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.

Footballer caught: Personnel from the Sentences Enforcement Department have arrested a foreign professional footballer for swindling an unidentified VIP reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added the suspect had borrowed KD 16000 from the VIP and after he failed to pay the money on promised date the latter filed a case and the suspect was sentenced in absentia. The arrest came after the footballer failed to answer police calls.
