(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY April 29: Deputy Director General for Planning at Kuwait Municipality and leader of the team handling eviction of bachelors from private residential buildings Eng Ahmad Al-Manfouhi disclosed that the team has completed evacuation of 55 buildings based on 200 petitions.
Al-Manfouhi made the announcement in a meeting held Wednesday to evaluate performance of the team within the first two weeks. Ministry of Interior's Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Abdul-Fatah Al-Ali and several other Municipality directors attended the meeting. He affirmed the situation is being handled in line with stipulated procedures and in collaboration with other concerned authorities.
He said the team will continue to face the challenge of eliminating bachelors from private residential areas in all governorates. He revealed majority of the operations was conducted in Jahra Governorate where 25 buildings were evacuated in Sa'ad Al-Abdullah Oyoun Waha Qasr and Nassem.
He added the team disconnected electricity from a building in Hawally Governorate in response to two petitions one of which was about the affected building. Meanwhile Al-Ali pointed out the Municipality should directly contact his sector for action whenever they receive petitions concerning bachelors who live in residential buildings meant for families
. He revealed his staff evacuated 33 buildings in the Capital Governorate and 13 of these buildings are in Sulaibikhat asserting the sector has opened files for all affected buildings. He added the procedures have four points: investigation statistics civil ID card and area leader.
He stressed that officials will monitor the bachelors in case they move to other residential areas. He cited three people who transferred to Firdous after being evicted from Sabah Al-Nasser asserting the monitoring was easy through the verification of civil ID cards.
