Trucker arrested with drug pills


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY April 29: A Pakistani truck driver was arrested at Abdali border checkpoint for attempting to smuggle five kilograms of hashish and 20000 narcotic pills into the country. According to security sources the custom officers at Abdali border checkpoint was checking the truck that arrived from Iran when they found the abovementioned drugs. They arrested the driver and referred him with the confiscated drugs to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.

Teens nabbed: Farwaniya securitymen arrested two Kuwaiti teenagers for sneaking into schools to steal various items and vandalize the premises. In a press statement the Ministry of Interior disclosed the officers intensified efforts to look for the culprits after receiving reports on theft and destruction of properties inside two schools in Omariya. These cases were registered under numbers 2/2015 and 265/2015. During interrogation the suspects admitted the crime so they were referred to the concerned security department along with the stolen items for legal action.

Blaze tackled: Officers at the Capital Security Directorate managed to extinguish a fire that started in the exhaust fan inside a room before the arrival of firemen reports Al- Seyassah daily. Investigations revealed the cause of fire was an electric fault found in the exhaust fan. No casualties or injuries were reported
