Prominent Indian businessman dies


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Prominent Indian businessman and General Manager of Alu Tec company Thampi Narayanan (pictured), 61, died here yesterday following a heart attack.

He died at the Hamad General Hospital at around noon yesterday. He was undergoing treatment for week. A long-time resident of Qatar, Narayanan was a founder member of the Indian Cultural Center (ICC), the umbrella body of Indian expatriate organisations.

He leaves behind wife Jayasree, son Sooraj and daughter Lakhsmi.
