West Texas Intermediate hits 2015 high

West Texas Intermediate oil futures settled above US$58 a barrel overnight at their highest level of the year.

Prices received a boost from U.S. government data showing a decline in crude supplies at the Cushing Oklahoma storage hub.

West Texas Intermediate for June delivery rallied 2.7% to US$58.58 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
