According to the Department of Trade and Industry in the United Kingdom alone approximately 40000 children under five have accidents while going up and down the stairs. In the United States the statistics rise to an appalling 90000. There is a stair-related injury that occurs among children under five every six minutes.
This is why Lesley teamed with an experienced designer to create the KiddieRail and bring a solution to prevent these types of accidents among children.
There are handrails for adults but what about children? They need assistance going up and down the stairs the most! The KiddieRail is small enough for little hands to grip properly. The height can be adjusted so that it is always in the right position and it remains comfortable as the child grows. There is a cute small figure climbing up the rails with the child to offer emotional support as well.
It is easy to install with two attachments options: straps with removable adhesive tapes to hold it in position or with screws to the wall.
The KiddieRail is also the option to make the children-sized handrail horizontal for corridors landings or anywhere to support a child as they walk. So parents will have greater peace of mind knowing their children have a safety aid. Another added benefit is that the device will prevent dirty hand marks on the walls!
