(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour and AES' operations director Bernard Santos discussed on Tuesday the company's plans and future projects to promote its investments in the Kingdom.
Ensour stressed his government's support for investing in power and renewable energy sectors, which contribute towards attaining energy security and using state-of-the-art technology, expressing government's willingness to pave the way for investments.
A 25-megawatt solar panel project by AES was approved by the government, aiming at reducing diesel consumption and cost.
The cabinet also allowed electricity generating companies to submit their bids form to the energy ministry directly, in order to exploit renewable energy resources.
