Jammu industry hails state govt on issuance on ease of doing business


(MENAFN- KNN India) The Association of Industries has expressed satisfaction over the issuance of government order relating to 'Ease of Doing Business' and simplifications of the procedure for setting up and facilitating industry in the state.

"The association appreciated the Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Prakash, the Chief Secretary Jenab Iqbal Khandey and Financial Commissioner, Industries and Commerce, Jenab Khurshid Ahmed Ganai who have taken keen interest to issue such an Order which shall be helpful for future and existing entrepreneurs," it said.

In a meeting held under the chairmanship of its President, Rajesh Jain, the association expressed their hopes that the concerned officers will implement this order in letter and spirit.

"If this order is implemented in true sense, the entrepreneurs shall get relief from running from one table to other to get their jobs done," it said.

The association also requested the Principal Secretary, Finance Department to issue necessary instructions to Lakhanpur Checkpost that entrepreneurs may be allowed to import the spares and consumables, additional machinery and equipment and export for repair of machinery and selling of scraps under self-certification as per the order.

It requested the Financial Commissioner, Industries and Commerce Department to take personal interest to have a look into so that necessary powers are delegated as per the order which will make the entrepreneurs to feel actual ease of doing business.

Citing that it is a good beginning in a very small manner, the association said the 0rder depicts the motive of the Industries Minister and efforts of Financial Commissioner, Industries and Commerce Department towards promotion and development of industry in the state.

"A lot of initiatives are needed to be taken in this regard. We are very hopeful that the Hon'ble Minister for Industries shall take personal interest in resolving a number of other pending issues towards 'Ease of Doing Business' and 'Make in India', the prestigious programmes of Hon'ble Prime Minister of India during the formulation of ensuing Industrial Policy of the J&K State," it said.

The meeting was attended by Senior Vice President, Bansi Lal; Vice President, Ashok Kr. Jain; General Secretary, SB Abrol; Secretary, Vijay Sharma and Treasurer Sanjeev Vig among other prominent industrialists. (KNN/ST)
