Kuwait's Jazeera Airways records USD9.96m net profit in Q1


(MENAFN) Jazeera Airways Group posted a net profit of USD9.96m in the first quarter of the year, marking a 44.6 percent growth when compared to the corresponding period of 2014, Kuwait News Agency reported.

Additionally, the firm sold USD507 million worth of a number of 15 Airbus A320s in January as part of a strategic initiative to escape from the aircraft leasing business and concentrate on the passenger airline Jazeera Airways.

"With a 44.6 percent increase in net profit from Q1 2014, this quarter's earnings clearly reinforce our decision to focus on the airline business." The Chairman of Jazeera Airways Group said in a statement.
