Ms. Johnson reports that Chalk Magic Liquid Chalk Markers have the same design shape and feel of a regular plastic marker. They use a specially designed 4 mm nib (tip) which Ms. Johnson says is made specifically in Japan for this use. "The tips are made for this application. They're what's called a bullet tip and the way they work is that they hold the liquid chalk in the marker when not in use kind of like a paint pen then you depress the tip and the liquid chalk flows onto the nib and holds there while you write. You press the tip to get more chalk and write away. It's really quite easy." Ms. Johnson adds that the resulting application of liquid chalk wipes away clean with water.
