US, Kuwait trade volume surpasses USD15b in 2014


(MENAFN) The trade volume between Kuwait and the USA exceeded USD15 billion in 2014, marking 188 percent increase over the last five years, the US Ambassador said, Kuwait News Agency reported.

The Ambassador said that the US is the largest marketplace for importations from Kuwait, pointing at the country's prospect of becoming an energy hub for the United States.

The GCC country is ranked 37 as one of the prime international investors in the United States with USD 1.3 billion total worth of investments, the Ambassador pointed out.

"Also, Kuwait is the fastest in growth of US exports among GCC states with 41 percent in 2014." The Ambassador added in the statement.
