Serbia's public debt hits USD26.2b in Q1


(MENAFN) Data showed that public debt of Serbia rose in the first-quarter period to USD26.2 billion, accounting for 73.3 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP), Xinhua reported.

According to the data published by the Serbian Ministry of Finance, the public debt increased by 1.4 percent from December 2014, when it stood at 70.9 percent of GDP or USD24.77 billion.

Biggest creditors of Serbia include the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, while the share of foreign creditors in the public debt was 51.8 percent.
