MIM's victory
(MENAFN- Arab News) This is with reference to the report 'Owaisi's MIM scores big in Aurangabad India polls' (April 24). I would like to congratulate the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) party on its spectacular electoral performance.
The poll results show that the MIM chief's consistent articulation of the concerns of minorities in the Parliament the press and in public has resonated well with the people. It is perhaps the first time in the history of Aurangabad that a single political entity succeeded in winning the hearts (and of course votes) of Muslims and other minorities.
With one representative in the state assembly and 25 in the civic body the disadvantaged sections of Aurangabad will now have a better say in matters concerning their immediate environment. I wish every winning candidate a successful tenure.
