KD 300 fee for license favored

(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY April 27: The proposal to raise the fee to KD 500 for expatriates applying for a fresh driving license has reportedly been turned down reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al- Khalid has rejected the proposal to raise the fee to KD 500 and instead is reportedly in favor of KD 300. This is because the proposal is aimed at regulating traffic and not hindering expatriates from possessing a driving licence or a car.

Meanwhile the sources have once again confirmed that expatriates caught driving without a licence will be deported immediately. The sponsors will have to bear the cost of deportation
