Kuwait hosts formative art exhibition for Gaza orphans

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Kuwait Writers' Association (KWA) inaugurated Sunday a charity exhibition for Gaza orphans.

The exhibition features 65 pieces and 40 vases of formative artist Nahla Al-Shaiji.

In a statement to KUNA, Al-Shaiji said that the revenues of the three-day event will be allocated to the orphans in the Gaza Strip which had been attacked by the Israeli aggression last year, leaving thousands of Palestinians dead and injured, mostly children.

"I was inspired by the huge number of Gaza orphans who suffer from acute shortage of their basic needs," she added.

She said her paintings are marked by varied topics, noting there is a piece displaying the map of State of Kuwait and some pieces of marine environment and Arabian horses. She pointed out that oil and acrylic paints were used in pieces, while the vases were decorated by watercolors.
