Sheikha Fatima receives wife of New Zealand Prime Minister

Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, today received Bronagh Key, wife of the New Zealand Prime Minister, at Al Bahr Palace.

Sheikha Fatima and Bronagh Key discussed cooperation between women's institutions in the two countries, along with other women's issues, as well as ways to enhance them within the framework of international organisations.

Further, Bronagh Key hailed the role played by Sheikha Fatima in supporting Emirati women and women's associations in general, as well as her initiatives in the childhood and motherhood care field, in particular, as well as her promoting education and culture in the country and abroad.

She also praised the Emirati women's advanced stature in all domains, as well as occupying the highest positions in various fields, thanks to Sheikha Fatima's relentless work and support.

The wife of the New Zealand Prime Minister underscored that Sheikha Fatima is a pioneering figure in humanitarian work at the international level, since she spares no effort to support humanitarian work through encouraging the implementation of humanitarian programmes to alleviate the suffering of needy people.

Additionally, she reiterated that international organisations appreciate Sheikha Fatima's pioneering role in humanitarian and charitable fields.

Also in attendance were H.H. Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, wife of Sheikh H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, and H.H. Sheikha Alyazia bint Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, wife of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister.
